Missy Wade:  Director

Welcome! My name is Melissa Wade, but I go by Missy. I am a wife, mother of two, and a teacher. I have been married 37 years to my childhood sweetheart. Our daughter Shelby is 28, our son Carson is 25. I homeschooled both children for a total of 13 years.

Shelby has an associate degree in Biology, a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and an associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant. She is currently working as an OTA at Norman Reginal Hospital. Carson joined the Air Force following graduation from high school and is currently flying and serving as a Crew Chief on a KC-46 Aircraft. Carson also serves as a member of the Civil Air Patrol in Wichita.

PROFESSIONAL

I received a bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in mathematics from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1990. In September 2019, I started school at Western Governors University and graduated in 2021 with a Master of Education degree in Instructional Design.

After having other jobs, life led me to teach mathematics. I continue to teach today, and I absolutely love it! I have been teaching in the homeschool community for over 20 years at various co-ops, teaching classes of my own, and private tutoring. I am an Adjunct Professor of Developmental Mathematics at OCCC and have taught at OSU-OKC as well. I was also the director of a homeschool co-op for six years.
